  •      Today on Tune In and Sound Off our host Kevin Demers talks about the plea agreement process. He shares some of his personal experiences from his plea deal when he was arrested at the Blue Martini Bar.
  •      Kevin talks about the history of the plea bargaining and the statistics of Rule 11 plea agreements. Kevin takes calls from listener Sarah and discusses the plea form. Kevin talks about his personal experience as his plea that was entered during his case which was not applied as he intended.
  •      Kevin talks about what led him to enter a plea agreement, and how the states attorney stacked charges to intimidate him into not taking the case to trial. Kevin describes how he intended to enter a plea of nolo contendre, but the judge entered the plea as guilty, though the prosecutor only said that Kevin was pleading to count on in exchange for dropping the other stacked charges. Kevin then describes the confusion that ensues which leads to his filing appeals all the way to the United States Supreme Court.
